In the Easter holidays a chicken house has been set up at the Hans-Stethaimer school in Burghausen . The children were able to supply the chickens for six weeks. The Bavarian Academy for Nature Conservation and Landscape Management (ANL) provided the chicken house.

The single classes were responsible for food and water, oviposition and cleaning the chicken house. The children from the fourth grade and their parents had to release the chickens in the morning and lock them in in the evening.
In the beginning there was a cock too, but because of the crowing and the neighbors who feel disturbed, he had to leave.
