SABUKO - Society for Nature Conservation

Is a non-profit organization, founded in Georgia, through the merger of Georgian Center for Conservation of Wildlife and international project Batumi Raptor Count.
Our mission is to promote the conservation of wildlife in Georgia and to increase the valuation of nature by the public and to encourage the sustainable use of natural resources.
We aim to protect wild birds and their habitats, and to raise awareness about the value of nature and the importance of its protection.

AlexanderMr. Alexander Rukhaia has been in charge of financial and administrative aspects of the company since its creation in April 2013. He holds an MSc in International Relations, as well as global academic certificate in International policy and has acquired extensive experience in organizational and project management, as well as program formulation and strategic planning during his professional engagements with different national and international organizations since 2001. During the past three years, Mr. Rukhaia has been working for the Batumi Raptor Count, where he was responsible for the wildlife conservation projects, development of ecotourism and visitor services.

Natia JavakhisviliI am currently working at LEPL Environmental Information and Education Centre, as a chief specialist of environmental education. At same time, I am running the project: "Conservation Actions for the Imperial Eagle in Kakheti Region, Georgia.” I graduated bachelor of Biology and entered to master of Ecology. I am founder and president of the Young Biologists Association.
